Camelback Mountain

This morning Meyer and I woke up bright and early to tackle hiking Camelback mountain on the La Cholla trail. Neither of us thought too much about this adventure as it turned out we both forgot to bring water with us.  Smart idea in the desert in Arizona!  Nevertheless we trekked and scrambled up to the hump of Camelback’s back and were rewarded with amazing views of the city.  I found that Meyer enjoys a good scramble up mountains while Meyer found that my fear of heights only pertains to small unmarked paths where I don’t have a good footing.  We both agreed that January is one of the few months that we can tolerate the weather in Phoenix.  We’ll keep that in our check list for years to come.
