The end of May and Memorial Day weekend reminds me that summer is just around the corner. Meyer and are out of town celebrating the holiday weekend with family. We’re looking forward to grilling, stopping by a Memorial Day parade, and hopefully eating some of the first strawberries of the season. It’s a weekend to remember those who died for our country in the Armed Forces and a time to spend with family and friends. My hometown always threw a parade with Shriners driving miniature motorcycles, local children decorating their bikes, and the whole community coming out to remember those fallen heroes.
As with many family gatherings tasty beverages will be flowing. What better way to start the weekend than with a crisp cold bottle of rosé wine? We love sitting on our porch and sipping some all evening long. Hendry, De Ponte Cellars, and Triennes are just a few of our favorites. If wine isn’t your thing, I pulled together a few other drink ideas to try this weekend.
Whole Foods Market’s Lemon Zip juice made with jalapeños and green grapes would be a refreshing take on lemonade. Healthy Home Restaurant hacked the recipe for all of us to enjoy at home.
Pineapple and Coconut’s White Peach, Basil, and Blueberry Mojito calls out for a sweltering summer.
Spoon Fork Bacon’s Blackberry Meyer Lemon Gin & Tonics would hit the spot this holiday weekend.
This Cucumber Sangria from Better Homes and Gardens would certainly refresh you while barbecuing.
How can I resist Three Many Cooks’ The Real Whiskey Sour ? I can’t really resist any whiskey sours but this one sounds delicious!
Cookie + Kate’s Ginger Beer Concentrate would be great refreshing and non-alcoholic choice.
