Summer weather calls for ice cream. Running out to a local ice cream parlor on a hot summer night is one of my favorite things. Sitting on our porch eating a popsicle is a close second. There’s a science to eating a popsicle. You have to be quick enough so the ice cream doesn’t melt down your arm but take enough time to savor every bite. Popsicles are the perfect easy summer dessert. No cooking needed. They are a delicious sweet treat to end the meal. Just enough to cleanse your palate and satiate your sweet tooth. I’d love to play around this summer with making my own popsicles but for now I’m picking them up at my local supermarket. This makes them the clear choice for dinner parties. Little prep, easy serving, and pleasing to most everyone. What else can you ask for?
This week, I found a new popsicle at the supermarket, Talenti Pops. Made by of the same super creamy gelato by Talenti, these pops are even more decadent with their coating of dark chocolate. We’ve only tasted the sea salt caramel and the double dark chocolate flavors. But I know I want to try more of them. Mediterranean Mint, Black Raspberry, Caribbean Coconut are a few others that I can’t wait to try. It’s also so great to find a pop that notes that it is gluten free on the box. It’s the little things like this that make my life easier and keep me smiling.
